Question 1

How much gravel will my project require?

Accepted Answer

Your gravel total is determined by the area size and the depth you plan to install. A general estimate is that one ton of gravel covers approximately 100 square feet at a 2-inch depth. Driveways usually call for 4 to 6 inches of material. Get a more precise total with our free gravel calculator. Enter the project length, width, and depth to see how many tons to order.

Question 2

What quantity of material can I buy?

Accepted Answer

Order a single ton for a patio or garden walk, or choose multi-ton quantities for a driveway or construction project. Spread at a 2-inch depth, one ton of gravel covers roughly 100 square feet. To estimate your needs, use the gravel calculator or call (501) 596-6225 for assistance.

Question 3

What does gravel delivery look like?

Accepted Answer

Your order arrives by dump truck at your property. The driver places the material in your driveway, yard, or another accessible spot you identify. A dump truck moves bulk aggregate efficiently. It backs to the drop spot, then raises its bed so the material comes out in a pile. You can spread smaller areas with a rake or shovel, while larger areas may call for equipment such as a skid steer.

Question 4

Must I be present for delivery?

Accepted Answer

You usually do not have to be home when material is delivered. Before the delivery date, clearly identify the spot where it should be dumped. Cones, flags, or stakes can mark the drop location. The driver may contact you by phone if the property cannot be accessed or the placement spot is unclear. Share any access concerns or delivery directions when ordering so they can be coordinated with the driver.

Question 5

When will my delivery arrive?

Accepted Answer

Most orders may arrive in 2 business days, based on product availability and your location. Deliveries near metro areas or major supplier hubs can arrive sooner. Rural and remote addresses can need a little more time. After ordering, you will receive an email confirmation showing an estimated delivery window. For materials needed by a certain date, contact us before ordering to discuss your timeline.

Question 6

Which gravel works best for a driveway?

Accepted Answer

For a driveway, consider crushed stone or crusher run, which is also called dense grade aggregate. The rough, angular pieces compact and fit together to support vehicle traffic. Driveway options often include crushed stone in 3/4-inch size or 1/2-inch crusher run. Do not use smooth, rounded material such as pea gravel for a driveway, since tires can move it and it does not compact as well. Review the product catalog for materials offered in your area.

Question 7

How do pea gravel and crushed stone compare?

Accepted Answer

Pea gravel is made up of small, smooth, naturally rounded stones, generally 1/4 to 1/2 inch across. It suits paths, garden beds, dog runs, and decorative landscaping because it feels comfortable underfoot and looks appealing. Crushed stone is made by breaking larger rock, giving it angular edges. Those edges interlock and compact, which makes it a stronger choice for driveways, foundations, drainage, and structural uses. Choose crushed stone where the material needs to stay put or carry weight. Pea gravel fits decorative spaces and areas with light traffic.

Question 8

Is delivery available in my area?

Accepted Answer

Delivery is available throughout Arkansas, including major cities, suburbs, and many rural areas. Enter the delivery address at checkout to see if service is available there. For a remote location, call (501) 596-6225 to check delivery availability.

Question 9

What happens if I purchase too much or too little gravel?

Accepted Answer

Any extra material will stay on your property if you order more than needed. Excess material cannot be picked up after delivery. Leftover gravel can be used to fill low spots, make garden borders, or refresh walkways. If your order is short, place another order and we will arrange a second delivery. Use the gravel calculator before ordering to help prevent either outcome. It is also a good practice to order about 10% more than your calculated amount for ground-level differences and compaction.

Question 10

Can one order include multiple products?

Accepted Answer

Each order can contain one material type at this time. Materials are hauled by dump truck, so separate products cannot be mixed while in transit. When your project calls for more than one material, such as crushed stone beneath a driveway and pea gravel on a walkway, place an order for each product. Every order includes free delivery, so multiple deliveries do not add a delivery cost.

Question 11

How are material prices set?

Accepted Answer

Your price depends on the material selected, the amount ordered, and the delivery address. Pricing can differ across regions. Website prices include free delivery.

Question 12

Which payment options are accepted?

Accepted Answer

You can pay online with major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Our encrypted checkout system securely processes payments. Cash, checks, and purchase orders are not accepted for online orders at this time. For a large commercial order with special payment needs, call (501) 596-6225 to discuss the options.

Question 13

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

You may cancel an order and receive a full refund before it has been dispatched for delivery. Refunds are generally unavailable after bulk materials are loaded for delivery or delivered to your property because they cannot be returned. If you receive incorrect material or have a significant shortage, contact us right away at (501) 596-6225. Review the refund policy page for full details.

Question 14

How can I figure gravel quantity for my project?

Accepted Answer

Start by measuring the area's length, width, and intended depth. Multiply those measurements to find cubic feet, and divide that result by 27 to convert it to cubic yards. Gravel weighs approximately 1.4 tons per cubic yard, so multiply the cubic-yard total by 1.4 to determine tonnage. You can also use the free gravel calculator instead of doing the calculations. Enter your measurements to see the tons to order and the cost.

Question 15

Which gravel sizes are available?

Accepted Answer

Gravel size refers to the diameter of its individual stones. Available sizes commonly include 1/4-inch (pea gravel), 1/2-inch, 3/4-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/2 inch, and 2-inch stone. Small material, including pea gravel, suits patios, walkways, and decorative areas. For parking areas, driveways, and everyday landscaping, 3/4-inch crushed stone is a frequently used medium size. Drainage, erosion control, and French drains often use 1-1/2 inch or 2-inch stone. Check the product page for the sizes and material types available for delivery in your area.
